Summary

Finish: There are some black finish touchups on the sides of the body, mostly near the treble bout as well as a few on the bass horn.

Body Material: Alder

Neck Material: Maple

Neck Profile: "C" profile

Neck Thickness (IN): .86" (1st fret), .98" (12th fret)

Fingerboard Radius: 7.25"

Nut Width: 1-1/2"

Scale Length: 34

Electronics: Original single coil pickups with grey fiberboard bobbins, and mostly original wiring harness with neck/bridge volume controls and master tone control. A ground wire has been run from the neck pickup volume pot to the sleeve of the output jack. The pot codes date to 1966.

Pickup Measurements: 6.6k (neck), 7.0k (bridge)

Hardware: Original

Weight: 8 lbs 14 oz

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender bass shows moderate aging, with finish chipping, checking, small dings, and other blemishes on the glossy finish. The sides of the body have black touchups in a few scattered areas, and there is a large patch of finish wear on the back of the body just under the neck plate. The neck is glossy with moderate checking.

Modifications/Repairs: Extra ground wire added to wiring harness.

Serial Number: 259531

Tech Notes: The bass plays well with medium-low action and mild neck relief; the truss rod is functional, but has a limited range of adjustability. The neck stamp and serial number date the bass to 1969.
