Fingerboard Radius: 12.00"

Nut Width: 1-11/16"

Scale Length: 24 3/4"

Hardware: Original tuners. The nut, bridge, saddle, and strap buttons are not original. It is uncertain whether or not the pickguard is original.

Weight: 4 lbs 3 oz

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage J-45 shows heavy wear throughout. The finish has been stripped and the body shows a large crack repair on the back. In addition to the large crack repair, there are numerous small crack repairs throughout the entirety of the body. There is excess glue on top of the pickguard from when it was reglued.

Modifications/Repairs: -The finish has been totally stripped. -Non-original bridge. -All the braces on the back of the body have been replaced. -Some braces on the top have been replaced. -Non-original back graft. -Non-original nut and saddle. -Refret. -Non-original strap buttons.

Serial Number: N/A

Tech Notes: This J-45 plays well with medium action. The frets are thin and show heavy wear. Due to the lack of serial number and finish, dating this piece is difficult. That being said, the presence of the "Only A Gibson Is Good Enough" banner, the single ply binding on the top and back, and the lack of a black backstripe assists in narrowing the year of manufacture down to 1944.
