Electronics: Original Gibson P90 pickups; the leads have been spliced and repaired. Original wiring harness with 3-way toggle switch and volume/tone controls for each pickup. The pot codes date to 1962. The pickup and control cavities have black shielding paint underneath the clear overspray.

Pickup Measurements: 8.1k (neck), 8.0k (bridge)

Hardware: The tuners are non-original Gotoh replacements; the original tuners are included in the case. The bridge posts have also been replaced.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gibson SG Special is in great cosmetic condition, with nice aging and signs of use on the glossy finish. The clear oversprayed body has various dents, dings, and light scratches, and both the pickguard and control cavity plate have circular blemishes. The body and neck both have checking, and the back of the neck is worn nicely smooth. The headstock face has circular wear around each tuner shaft, as well as normal wear around the edges.

Modifications/Repairs: -The body has been oversprayed -The tuners have been replaced -The pickup leads have been spliced -Shielding paint in the body cavities.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and the truss rod is adjustable. The original frets are fairly low, with light wear. The serial number and electronics codes date the guitar to 1962.
